Recycle your Broken EyeShadow

Recycle your Broken Eye Shadow

We all go through days when we are at our clumsiest best. And it is at times like this when your favorite eye shadow, pressed powder or blush slips up of your hand and shatters into a million tiny pieces.

But we save those tears honey, you don't necessarily have to throw it away. You can still use it as a loose shadow. If that doesn't sound appealing enough, here's quick fix to set your broken shadow.

All you need is rubbing alcohol to make it as good as new.

1. Collect as much of the broken pieces as you can and also clean out the original eye shadow container with a make-up brush and empty the contents into a small container.

2. Use the back of the male-up brush to crumble the shadow into a fine powder.

3. Use a cap full of rubbing alcohol and pour it into the container along with the shadow. Use a wooden stirrer to mix it thoroughly to make a nice paste. You may want to be careful with alcohol through. Pour it little by little so that you don't have a watery paste. The shadow will take longer to dry down if its watery.

4. Now pour this paste in the original eye shadow container. Pour it as evenly as possible like you do while pouring cake batter in its mould.

5. Keep the eye shadow container where it will not be disturbed. After a few hours you will see the powder setting. Place a paper towel on the eye shadow. This will help to mould the shadow and will also give it a nice finish making it look brand new.

6. It might take you eight hours or more to set the shadow completely but its well worth the effort.
